Problem rozpoznania (reconnaissance) Innego w kontekście Ricoeurowskiej dyskusji ze stanowiskami Husserla i Lévinasa

Abstract

The aim of the article is to present some aspects of Paul Ricoeur’s thought, especially his reflection on the problem of the recognition of Another. Firstly I present Ricoeur’s understanding of reconnaisannce (as the identification and as the mutual recognition). Then I demonstrate the main aspects of Ricoeurian interpretation of Husserl’s and Lévinas’s philosophical standpoints. They assume that a relation to Another has primordially asymmetric character which leads to some problems with a recognition of reciprocity. In response to this Ricoeur formulates the idea of a mutual recognition which includes two dialectical aspects: the self and the otherness.
