Wolność woli z perspektywy neuronauk

Józef Bremer

Abstract

Neuroscientists and philosophers being in favor of determinism claim that only understood freedom of the will is an illusion. Starting from the intuitive features of the free will and the stochastic interpretation of brain processes, I analyze the use of executive functions of brain in an interdisciplinary analysis of free will. By questioning the argument on illusion of free will, I point to the possibility of (i) connection of the neuronal and the common view of free will, (ii) the need for further, extensive research into its neuronal correlates.
